Position: Scrum Master

Location: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Phoenix, AZ. (This onsite location requires attendance five days a week)

Employment Type: FTE


Responsibilities:

  • sure team rules such as WIP and any other process rules agreed upon by team. Ensure smooth and sustainable delivery at team level.
  • team from uncontrolled expansion of work. Responsible for assessing team capacity communication and awareness.
  • Product Owners backlog prioritization and refinement to provide transparency of build scope and production releases.
  • prioritized Epics and Stories in JIRA, all tied to Portfolio, act as JIRA Admins for Scrum teams.
  • impediments the require support from other teams or beyond team s authority.
  • and support on user story epic estimation.
  • sprint cadence including daily stand up, weekly grooming, demo, retro, etc.
  • intra scrum dependencies are tracked and managed.
  • and send out Agile reporting to all stakeholders.
  • as a servant leader who empowers the teams and builds high-performing teams by driving relentless improvement.
  • and coach behaviours, roles, practices to promote collaborative Agile environment and overall team health.
  • and Promote Lean Agile attitude in working with people, process, and tools within the organization.
  • readiness and preparation for Quarterly planning.


Qualifications we seek in you:

  • 7+ Years in IT industry.
  • as Scrum Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • of other approaches in the Agile space: Kanban, Lean, etc.
  • and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc.
  • skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • applying a wide variety of well document patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in Scrum approach.
  • written and verbal communication skills. Able to communication anywhere from the team level C-level executives.


Preferred Qualifications/ skills:

  • with scaled Agile (SAFe, LESS) in a hands-on leadership role (e.g., Release Train engineer, Agile Program Manager)
  • in Scrum Master and scaled Agile or transformation roles in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs distributed, etc.)
  • record of continued and recent education in Scrum and Agile, including training, conferences, user-groups, self-study, etc.
  • participant in the Agile community.
